Gülşen Güler

Through her creative practice, Gülşen is interested in the interplay between the progressive promises of technological innovation and the social, cultural, and historical contexts of the “digital age”. 

In this show, we see Ms Ruler as she pioneers the groundbreaking concept of “baby data” – the purest material for a revolutionary future to maximise net good in the universe. Named as the “Mother of Data”, Ms Ruler is leading a paradigm shift where future forms of intelligence aren’t just coded but raised and nurtured. Shaping tomorrow’s landscape through her company Saite, Ms Ruler was named as a changemaker by Women of Innovation and Society, and is on the 2024 list of Visionaries to Watch.

Gülşen Güler is a multi-disciplinary researcher and artist exploring the underlying assumptions, ideologies, and references that influence technology development. Through TOMA, Gülşen had her first brush with the “art world” while wearing various goggles informed by her lived experiences.
