Fredrix Vermin

Whilst not exploring methods used for world domination and destruction, Fredrix Vermin is concerned with disrupting the conventional wisdoms surrounding value systems and uses serious silliness as a radical form of critique.

Working across mediums and occasionally playing with fire, the work often manifests as refined clutter,  taking form as sculptural installation. The pieces are made from discarded materials found on the roadside or in edge-lands.

Performance and workshops regularly run in tandem to the exhibited works in order to clarify, bolster and expand upon the ideas presented.

Fredrix Vermin is an intra-disciplinary artist from South East London. After leaving school aged thirteen they studied for their BA as a mature student and graduated with first class honours in 2012. Having experienced multiple personal and structural hurdles throughout their life they are deeply proud to have been accepted onto The Other MA as part of the 2022 – 2024 cohort and make it to the end.
